Lux 11 couldn’t be more centrally plugged in if it tried, but with seemingly little effort, this airy and modern hotel (or rather luxury service apartments) emanates calmness in the maze of Mitte. Practicing a hands-off policy—a relief after many nights spent under the watch of Stasi-like concierges—Lux 11 prefers to let guests unwind on their own while still providing lush accessories like soft robes and slippers.

In line with its minimal philosophy, Lux 11 provides; an available laundry room, decreasing room rates and pamper-ready wellness center (sauna, Aveda salon and spa) help cushion this blow. Well-designed rooms—even the smallest feel large at circa 30 square meters—benefit from spacious lounging areas and, for larger rooms, adjoining balconies. The two flat-screen TVs and wi-fi access keep tech-heads equally content.
