Americans in Germany frequently make blanket statements about German society and culture, e.g.: “Germans are so cold” “The German language is so severe” etc. Burg & Schild flips this phenomena, selling clothes that encompass an idea of a past America. With a product line that includes vintage Levis, Filson bags, Redwing boots and Stetson hats, Burg & Schild creates an image—via fashion—of rough-and-tumble, contemporary wild-west. While their vision of America may be a bit romantic, their clothes are anything but.

With an interesting range of vintage classics and new takes on jeans and work-wear, Burg & Schild has created a haven for sturdy, yet inspired digs. The store is decorated accordingly, clad with an ancient race car, the smell of oil and tar and photographs of Steve McQueen.

In addition to the classic American labels, expect more exclusive contemporary designers like: Atelier La Durance, Pace, Kottpoulsen, Denim is Everything, Johnston Motor’s, Resteröds and Rogues Gallery.Quote_gray
