Absolutely old fashioned. This quirky ballroom has been hosting dance parties since 1913.

You can do the twist and jitterbug with old folks or hang out at a table sidelining the dance floor and order a pizza or appropriately German bouletten.

An inviting place for the young, but definitely held down by the elderly. The old ladies jiving along on the dance floor will show you how it’s done. The 80 year old cloakroom attendant gives new meaning to the phrase, “respect your elders.” The ball house hosts an incredible mix of young hipsters and aging regulars, who somehow mesh perfectly, creating a positive vibe that inspires you to get on your feet.

If you don’t feel like dancing, come during the day for coffee in their front yard facing Auguststrasse. Check their website for information on dance lessons and the theme of the night!Quote_transparent

Who needs more than a Pizza with a glass of red wine, the sympathic street noise from Auguststrasse and Tango music coming from inside the Ballhaus.
