Organic fare is all the rage in Berlin these days, so it’s hardly a surprise that the current trend has given birth to grocery stores like Bio Company, offering organic cheese, home-made pasta, Dr. Hauschka goods, natural-grown fruits, vegetables and other goods that would make any Turkish deli cry with envy. Super close to Hackesche Hoefe, you can even snatch last-minute snacks, Buemer & Lutum bread or hair and beauty supplies six days a week until a work day-friendly 21:00. Now that’s a novelty!
While Bio Company holds a nice choice of products, the place lacks style and finesse, more supermarket than style-market. The attractive, swear-by-yoga devotees seem to hardly mind, however, especially when the healthy lebensmittel shopping leads to flirting behind the aisles.
