This busy and popular restaurant-cafe screams touristy, as it sits on a hip corner directly where Mitte meets Prenzlauerberg. But it manages to charm locals as well, remaining a convenient place to congregate with plenty plastic orange seating reminiscent of subway cars and a clientele that might make those who left the thick-rims and plunging white V-neck t-shirts at home feel left out. The large outdoor seating area means you could spend several hours here admiring the attractive foot traffic saunter by.
A casual menu of German food, antipasti appetizers and Thai dishes might not win any awards but is perfectly serviceable, especially when paired with a glass of brew or an espresso from the long list of drinks. Was once featured as a set on a German telenovela.
