Berlin’s newest Alps inspired restaurant serves marvelous South German/Austrian cuisine. Roughly translated, Alpenstueck means, “A slice of the Alps.” The restaurant’s minimalist interior gives it a feel reminiscent of an art installation.

While much of the fare caters to traditional tastes, Alpenstueck’s schnitzels are not necessarily of typical Viennese standards. Draped on top of an amazing potato salad and delicious slices of cucumber, the heavy Schwabenschnitzel delivers a bit of a healthy crunch, making it a unique take on the old favorite.Quote_gray

Guess what's better—original schnitzel or costoletta alla milanese? I tried the Alpine one and it went down meraviglioso.
