Formally based in Trieste, Italy, this contemporary art space moved its HQ to this underground cellar in Charlottenburg in September 2009, leaving the Italian coastline to take full advantage of the thriving contemporary arts scene in Berlin.

Having built up a solid network of artists during their time in Trieste, the curators aim to build their new space into a showcase point for young, international artists-given their knack for presenting diverse, off-kilter projects in Trieste, we can’t wait to see how their 2010 program unfolds.

A rabbit-warren of connected rooms featuring low ceilings, exposed brick walls and piping, this space is provides a more rustic alternative to the polish of a lot of galleries and a visit here is as much about the setting as the exhibitions themselves.
