Dedicated to the unique world of the Polish poster design, the Pigasus Gallery presents the dark visions of designers from behind the Iron Curtain. Unable to use the original promotional material for Hollywood or foreign films, local artists like Jakub Erol and Wiktor Górka were enlisted to create their own interpretations of Western popular iconography.

The gallery’s back room is dedicated to changing exhibits of individual designers, while the shopfront features a wide range of posters for sale, as well as selection of Eastern Block rock to soundtrack your own “Russendisko.” Though Pigasus’ least frightening posters, advertising local circuses for instance, are the most expensive, its prices still remain friendly, enabling even those “poor but sexy” Berliners to purchase artwork to brighten, or darken, their wall expanses.Quote_transparent
