Live at Dot

The West Side’s brand new music venue—occupying the former home of 103 Club—promises to jolt the concertgoer into a fully equipped experience in its two-story artistic space. Though its interior design is of dubious rocker tradition—part kitschy, part modern, maybe trashy, maybe retro—its range is not, slipping in a recording studio, restaurant and even an internet platform functionality into its services.

But it’s the music that’s taken the most seriously. With a main stage technically designed for the best live acoustics and an outstanding debut calendar of shows, Live at Dot is a shining new beacon for live music in a town based on electro and speakers. If the first two months alone sees the likes of Glass Candy, Yacht, The Go! Team and De La Soul anointing the stage, we can’t wait to see who’ll be performing here in five.
