This small Lebanese restaurant off Oranienstrasse offers what many other affordable Middle Eastern joints in Kreuzberg seem to lack. A cozy seating area and Lebanese-inspired décor, plus tables out front on Adalberstrasse makes the whole “fast food” sensation of eating falafel disappear. Their hot wrap approach to falafel proves popular with just about everyone in the area so prepare yourself for a queue at peak times. But with a staff that’s got sandwich making down-pat and fresh mint tea, it’s hard to complain.
The veggie options are refreshingly tasty; accompany that with freshly squeezed carrot or orange juice and you’ll leave with a glow. Where other eateries in Kreuzberg make up in taste what they lack in style, Maroush has the whole package all wrapped up and in the bag.
