Though it changed its name in 2000 from Galerie Franck + Schulte (which was founded in 1991) to Galerie Thomas Schulte, not much else differs—the gallery continued on its upward march to being one of Berlin’s most recognized international galleries.
In a traditional, white cube manner, the gallery exhibits primarily post-war conceptual art. They represent some of the most important artists of the 20th century including: Richard Artschwager, Rebecca Horn, Alfredo Jaar, Gordon Matta-Clark and Robert Mapplethorpe, as well as a slightly younger, but important, generation including Jessica Stockholder and others.
