One of the best sushi joints in town, though its outward Imbiss appearance may broadcast otherwise. The minuscule one-room space filled with bar tables and sumo star posters point to an unpretentious dining experience rather than the boom-boom-boom Asian fusion lounges with nary a real Japanese chef. By contrast, Musashi only plays music from a cassette player, but its sushi chefs hail from the native country and clearly have full command over their cuisine.
There’s incredibly fresh fish, tasty makis rolled to perfection, and rice equal measures sweet, sticky and vinegary. Choose from a small but choice menu of essentials—miso soup, edamame, unagi inside-out rolls, chicken dishes such as curry and chilled Asahi beer. A mammoth party platter, good for catering events, costs only 30 Euros—astonishing not for its low price, but for its sheer quality.
