Grunewaldsee

The glassy lake in the middle of Grunewald provides a serene setting, next to which you can find the Jagdschloss Grunewald and the Jagd Restaurant. There are three places for bathing around the lake, which in the summer can become populated, but nevertheless offer a great place to cool off. The banks of the river are dotted with people hanging around, enjoying the day, and also playing fetch with their dogs as the four-legged friends chase sticks into the lake. Because dogs are allowed to run free here; the place can become a big mess of dogs—which is fun for some, and something to avoid for others.
