The Grunewald is 3,000 hectars of forest west of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Escape the city and take a deep breath among the greenery. Grunewald is extensive, but has specific sights within. Here’s where you’ll find the highest peak and best kite flying in Berlin—the Teufelsberg—a grassy plateau grown over a massive pile of wreckage from WWII standing 120 m above sea level.
