White painted walls and metal crafted tubes define Kim’s charm. It’s a very minimalistic Mitte bar, with a small DJ table and just about enough seating for a successful birthday party—small enough to always feel crowded. As such, the owners are open to any kind of hosted venues and parties.

And this is their recipe for success: melting together live music, vernissage parties and latent Mitte Coolness with a diversified hipster night program—far beyond cheesy cocktail hangouts.Quote_transparent

Sven Hausherr - Berlin

Sven Hausherr The artist's relation to the city

I think Berlin is just too big to unify all of my friends in just one bar. But KIM is my favorite so far: an unspectacular bar where you can have a quiet drink during the week or have it more crowded on the weekend. My favorite event: "Funday" on Sunday afternoons from 3pm-6pm, a Sunday afternoon kids' disco. Parents, hello?

The best bar in town? Somewhere between art space, club and hang-out, KIM stands out with it's exquisite emptiness and makes you think of Berlin Club in Scorsese's After Hours. Minimalistic in a hyper-cool, Dan Flavin way. On Monday's they screen Italian trash movies with Goblin soundtracks. On certain Sunday's you can even find a flea market where you can listen to records and eat wurst. 101% unique.
