Hop into Ishin Japanese Deli for a quick sushi lunch in Mitte. Quick service and complimentary green tea with an unbeatable value for money make this place arguably a cut above other options in the area. Although Ishin received a face-lift this year, it still looks like a university canteen and is incredibly packed from 12:00 to 14:00. So better show up after 14:00, the Happy Hour goes on until 16:00 and offers you the Ume Menu for just 5,50 Euro with enough sushi to satisfy your sashimi craving.

It’s not the best fish in town, as the Maki are sometimes loosely rolled, but it far exceeds the sad washed-out options on offer in grocery stores; overall, an outstanding exception in all the sushi delis around town.
