<description_plain>A modern concept-based eatery facing busy Torstrasse in Mitte. While Toca Rouge is not quite a restaurant nor a snack bar, it is one of the most creative, delicious Chinese eateries in town.

Serving playful inventions named "Devon Aoki's Bed" and other tongue-in-cheek references to today's celebrity-obsessed culture, the restaurant whips up fresh takes on traditional Chinese fare. A sesame and honey-glazed beef dish piled over sweet potato arrives shiny and in delightfully tender strips next to a small cone of rice, while the steamed catfish arrives carefully stacked like lasagna, with chewy rice cakes replacing ricotta cheese.

Sure beats the other kiosk joints peppered throughout town serving tired fried chicken variations that are like a Germanified schnitzel. Sit outside on the picnic style tables or inside on one of its Phillip Stark ghost chairs and just try to keep this place a secret of your own.</description_plain>
