Johann König first opened in 2002 at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, and moved in 2006 to its present location, a 5,800 square foot industrial space close to Potsdamer Platz, at the city’s center.

Run by Kirsa Geiser and Johann König, the gallery exhibits both established figures and emerging talents and lends itself well to cross-media, concept-oriented, and space-based approaches. The media portfolio includes sculpture, video, sound, painting, printmaking, photography and performance. In addition to the four to five weeks alternating solo exhibitions, there are curated group exhibitions, performances, a lecture series and the creative exhibition format, backyardoutdoorsculptureseries.Quote_transparent
