Named for Russian author and founder of the socialist realism literary movement, the Maxim Gorki Theatre is one of Berlin’s largest theaters.

You can expect to see classic dramas such as Maxim Gorky’s ‘The Lower Depths’ on the main stage, and contemporary plays and dramas, such as Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s “Die Bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant” on the smaller ‘rehearsal’ stage.

Something for anyone interested in old school revolutionary art.Quote_transparent
