About
Typical weather in Berlin is a mixture of Western Europe’s moderate maritime climate, and the rather tougher continental climate, typical of Eastern Europe, being very similar to the Netherlands’, but a bit further away from the sea. In summer, when days are long, temperatures tend to stabilize, and the city enjoys spectacular sunshine and warm temperatures, reaching daytime temperatures that exceed 30ºC, particularly in July and August.
Think of Berlin like a city with two faces: in the winter, it’s cold, grey and grim. People rather stay inside, everyone’s edgy and the dance floors feels like a warm bosom away from the intense grey and biting cold outside. The summer, however, is a totally different story. People absorb every single ray of light.
Berliners become very active, no ride is too long if it takes you to secret beaches and spots.
