Canadians aren’t exactly well known for their pizza production, so it’s somewhat curious to find a small, thriving Canadian pizzeria in the capital of Germany. The question is, what exactly makes a pizza Canadian? The answer, apparently, is a penchant for tossing on an array of eccentric toppings onto mammoth pies. A reading of the menu will reveal such specialties as the “Cronenberg Crash” (cilantro pesto, mozzarella, cheddar, tandoori tofu, red pepper, mango and peanuts) and the “Flaming Quebec” (creme fraiche sauce, onions, serano ham and bacon). Of course, more standard pizza fare is also served here, but if you’ve already chosen Ron Telesky over your run-of-the-mill joint down the street, why would you settle for an average slice?
Ron Telesky is friendly to vegetarians, vegans and carnivores alike, and even offers a rotating assortment of sweet pizzas (think banana melted chocolate cream pizza, if you want). You can order by the slice or whole pizzas, and if you’re lucky enough to live or work inside of their 1 kilometer radius they’ll deliver a pizza to you by bicycle from 17:00-20:00. Also, don’t forget to try the homemade Maple Chilly Syrup—but be warned, it’s highly addictive.
