Rather unimpressive from the outside, the full impact of this Frank Gehry biomorphic masterpiece emerges only when setting foot inside.
Architecture geeks will delight in the high-tech aspects and the dichotomy of smooth lines versus raw materials: the soft, rounded appearance reminiscent of a science fiction novel, for example, is made out of wood, steel and glass dominates the main hall.
In short: the dramatic building astounds. You don’t need to take out word for it, though: even the architectural genius publicly admits to it being the best thing he’s ever done.

GRAFT Architectural Highlights A Cross-Border Cowboys' Tour
The new DG Bank headquarters in Berlin forms part of the wider and ongoing reconstruction of Pariser Platz-but its urban sobriety hides a rich inner life, animated by the interplay of light, form and materials. The introduction of Frank Gehry into the mix might in theory be calculated to induce an element of raciness and unpredictability, but he too has been obliged to conform to the dress code. Being Gehry however, he has still managed to spring a few surprises.
