The grounds of the old Tempelhof Airport once again whir into life for Day 1 of Berlin Festival. This year the turbulence will be coming your way from headlining acts like Editors, Atari Teenage Riot, Fatboy Slim, Amiina, Caribou and more as the festival takes over the abandoned runways.

Particularly worth looking out for is Zola Jesus, the alias of opera soprano turned psych-goth-queen Nika Roza Danilova whose recent collaboration with Pocahaunted’s Amanda Brown has to be ranked as one of the albums of the year so far.
