DESCRIPTION:ATM\nBrunnenstrasse 24\n10119 Berlin\n\n\nVery few are able to 
 create such a strong association between the mood of the street and\ntheir 
 art like Incubus Project. The streetart-duo from St. Petersburg is famous b
 eyond Russia for\ntheir complex non-linear collage compositions that merge 
 with their environment. This is not just\nstencils on the walls\, but also 
 the walls themselves\, their face\, communication\, pipes\, wires\, trans-\
 nformer stations-they are all part of the arrangement.\nThe themes are main
 ly futuristic and by displaying ma-\nchinery they bring early videos by „
 Kraftwerk“\, a german\ntechnopop band\, to memory. Moreover the purist ch
 oice\nof colors -red/black-constitutes another part of their\nexpressive an
 d longevity stencils.\n\n\n	In 2008 Incubus Pro-\nject were already an\nimp
 ortant part of the\ngraffiti &#38\; streetart\n"Names Festival" in\nPrague\
 , where they\npresented their work\nnext to other internati-\nonal leaders 
 of the\nscene like Blu\, M-City\nand Brad Downey.\nConsidering the for-\nma
 tion of the group\nwas only in 2006\, their\nparticipation was quite\nimpre
 ssive.\n\n\n	Since their break-up last\nyear all works are signed\nby stree
 t-artist INKY and\nthey contain more speci-\nfic references to his per-\nso
 nal career. INKY gra-\nduated from the St Peter-\nburg College of Art with\
 nspecialty in painting\, and\nis now completing trai-\nning at Saint Peters
 burg's\nAcademy of Art and De-\nsign as an architect. Both\nof these discip
 lines influ-\nence and drive the creati-\nvity of the artist\, formed\nhis 
 style\, and defined the\nthemes of his work. Inky\nis interested in formal\
 narchitectural forms and\nstructures equally with\nleading graphics and pic
 -\nturesque.\n\n\n	ATM Gallery is proud to present\nINKY’s first solo sho
 w in Berlin\,\nwhere he will display a number\nof new works that were exclu
 si-\nvely produced for this particular\nexhibition and have not been\nshown
  in public yet. One can\nlook forward to an artistic ex-\npression that mov
 es between\nsocialistic propaganda and futu-\nristic modernism as well as\n
 connecting East and West.\n\n
