Last year’s collaborative album “Shall I Download A Blackhole And Offer It To You” had critics and fans positively gushing about the apocalyptical noise vortex that Pan Sonic and Keiji Haino had created.

That the album is already considered amongst both artists’ best is testament enough to its quality considering their peerless outpourings over combined decades of activity in the experimental scene. The rawness of Haino’s voice as he performed his trademark spirit-raising utterances allowed it to soar above the radioactive waves of Pan Sonic’s sterile electronic textures. If there was one album that crushed all others last year in the experimental scene under its dense, reverberating mass, it was theirs.

Individually, they are two of the most forceful and compelling live performers around, we can only wonder at what kind of obscure voyage into a tar-blackened pool of spectral shifts and supernatural vocal-howls that they have in store for us tonight. Maximum recommendation.
