You no longer have to possess a green thumb to enjoy the verdant foliage sprouting in Berlin’s Botanischer Garten. The whimsical one-day festival encourages all folks to take a whirlwind tour of botany, from Europe to Japan to the Himalayas in a 6,000-square-meter space consisting of 16 greenhouses.
The program is chock-full of crowd-pleasers, from oldies to jazz and live bands, and educational lectures on gardening and the environment at the adjacent museum. Bonus: The grand finale of fireworks at the Italian Garden at 10:45pm.
