Why? is the project of Yoni Wolf of cLOUDDEAD and Anticon infamy. In recent years it has headed more and more into the indie-folk field during which time they have also expanded into a three-piece.

Their recent album Alopecia was a tongue-in-cheek ride into new forms of abstract Hip Hop characterized by playful, half-sung rhymes and lazy beats. They sound exactly like what would happen if Pavement had hired Madlib for production duties.
