As the inaugural artist for Berlin’s newest contemporary art gem, the Temporäre Kunsthalle, Candice Breitz appears for the evening—first for an artist talk and later in a panel discussion.

After a little one-on-one time with Breitz—whose work surrounds themes of fan culture, celebrity and the convergence of reality and pop fiction—a discussion on the topic, “Representing Female and Male Prototypes in Film,” ensues. For the latter half of the night Breitz is joined by fellow artist Isabell Heimerdinger, curator Alice Koegel and the film scholar Gertrud Koch.
