As you most likely already know, Modeselektor and Apparat have joined forces again as Moderat. The three Berlin-based artists will be focusing their creative efforts in 2009 solely on the Moderat project and the impressive Moderat live tour, supported by visual artist collective Pfadfinderei.

In the intervening seven years since their 2003 EP debut ‘Auf Kosten der Gesundheit’, Modeselektor and Apparat have individually established themselves as some of the most innovative and well-respected talents within electronic music, as well as releasing highly acclaimed music for other labels like Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control, Shitkatapult, InfinĂ© and Huume.

The new Album ‘Moderat’ was recorded in Berlin’s famed Hansa Studios, and is musically situated at the sonic midpoint between Modeselektor’s and Apparat’s distinct sounds.

The sublime production of the album is complemented with guest vocals from Dellé, Busdriver and Paul St. Hilaire.

Pfadfinderei, Berlins leading visual crew for ‘1st class digital shit’ and frequent Bpitch Control collaborators, have created 10 outstanding videos for ‘Moderat’. Visually stunning, the videos are a fascinating mix of super slow motion and the unreal, with breathtaking representations of both nature and digital landscapes created in a unique and finely-detailed visual style.

The official Moderat video trailer is now available for free download in Full HD, iPhone and iPod Touch formats via zero-inch.com
